I'll just quote your own contributor, Midlands_Tiger I think ...

"Shame coz he could have been a good England player potentially, but I don't care one bit the lads a complete prick and I find it fairly amusing to be honest coz I hate him and I hate Slumberland so good news all round"

OK I missed the one post where someone said they hated Sunderland.

which, I admit, is worse than I couldn't care less whether he plays again or not. and defending even those "hoping for the worst"

As I've said at the Sunderland not606 pages, I just hope SAFC fans would be above ever having wished career-threatening injuries - or not cared about them- on McShane or Kilbane just because they had issues with them when they were with us. It just reminds me of killers' families who shout "hope you die screaming of cancer" at juries who convict their precious loved ones.

What's wrong with not caring either way? It means I won't be jumping for joy if he plays again but I won't be doing that if he doesn't play again either. Unless I've missed something the issues with McShane and kilbane were to do with their (lack of) ability weren't they? The issues with Campbell have been caused by his attitude, it's thanks to his deceit that he has no more significance to most of us than any random player in the Evo-Stik League does.

I don't see how 'I hope he can't play again' is comparable to "I hope you die of cancer". Saying you hope a millionaire can't play football again is hardly equivalent to wishing death on someone who in all probablility is needed to provide for their family.

If that's the most offensive thing you can find to get worked up about, you definitely need to get out more.

I knew that his agent was his dad. I do think we would have a much better chance of signing him if B+D+B had kept this quiet. Once it was out in public the Campbells had the leverage to get a better deal and they used it. Good luck to 'em. For people who are supposedly business savvy Bartlett and Duffen didn't half make some very basic mistakes and their handling of this transfer was one of them.

I certainly need to get out more. And yes, there are masses of things more worthy of getting worked up about. But however defensive you get, this thread
contains unworthy thoughts about a young, badly injured player and does little to encourage those of us who have time for Hull.

I loathe what D Bent did - publicly professing his love for SAFC, the region, the fans, the goals he was getting and almost simultaneously sticking in the first of his transfer requests - but would be genuinely sad for him if he suffered a terrible injury. You're obviously made of harder stuff.

I don't wish harm on him, I just don't really care about him one way or another any more.

The world's full of people who'd do anything to be in his shoes(or boots), I'm sure he doesn't need my sympathy.

He went to a bigger club than us, besides if he'd have come here by now he'd have been hounded out by Adam Pearson and treat like ****.

He made the right call for his career and we should thank him for what he did for us, the attitudes some City fans have towards former players is pathetic.

If he had signed for city

1. He would of played every week
2. He was already revered.
3. He knew the set up.
4. He had mates here.
5. He would of been on very good money.

He signed for Sunderland for more money and more money only to be a bit part player happy to sit on the bench and take the loot. Nothing to do with a bigger club.

i get more upset at the state of this country, that some prick would throw a brick at 4 year old girl, then lose any sleep over this smug bastard..
as said above, his antics at the stadium of light, lose any right for sympathy from me..

I think she's fantastic except she always seems to tart herself up which puts me off. I prefer the natural look.

FC was a great player for us, Unfortunately he ended up being an ungrateful prima donna with a short memory, His dad obviously had a hand in that it's a shame he's not ****ing injured too :emoticon-0102-bigsm
