I'm with @Guinness Guzzler on this. Unless something has changed, my guess is that FPP won't be making a move this summer as we're in L1.

Let's hope they do, but I still remain 80% Donald staying, 19.9% sold to someone else and 0.1% FPP decide to wade in.

Just saying, I know everyone likes optimism but there's still good things that can happen if they don't buy us, as long as Donald ****s off.

Are you saying there's virtually no chance of 'FPP' taking over, or just not this summer.

Do you think they are going to remain in the background for another year mate? Gutted if this situation is going to continue but after the comment Rodwell made to BBC Newcastle about Donald not looking to sell, it would make sense.

It could simply be Donald’s latest attempt to smoke out a buyer. If they think he’s comfortable and everything is hunky dory they may need to make a move or change their position.
He has already tried the multiple interested parties line which didn’t work. Personally I think we are stuck for at least another season. Hope not but there you have it.

His one and only ambition, for SAFC, is to sell it ...

... simple as that.

I ignore all the endless waffling because that's all it is.

If Donald really wanted to carry on he'd engage with support, lay out his plans and try to regain some momentum.

But he wants rid of the club and it's only the profit level that matters.

Until SD lowers the asking price we are stuck with him.

My big worry is he wants his money back and a profit and won't shift on that. If his standpoint costs him £2million I fully expect him to add that to the price he wants to sell the club.

Basically refusing to accept his mistakes should hit him in the pocket.

I honestly think he would rather see us go under than lose profit.

I don’t disagree Smug it could just be posturing and positioning as I said but it is not helping Safc one iota!!

I don't think that was anything like his original intentions but with the continuous backlash from some 'supporters', I could understand it if he changed.
If Stewart Donald deliberately and intentionally allowed Sunderland AFC to go into liquidation he would need police protection for the rest of his life. The man is incompetent not insane.

Dear me - Do you honestly think any of the abuse that he's had is unwarranted? Give your head a shake.

We thought that Murray and Short were bad owners but this guy is on another ****ing level.

He deserves EVERYTHING he gets imo

You could understand if he's happy to see the club go under ....

... absolutely unbelievable post.
Who said happy? I don't think he would do it but I think it's human nature for a lot of people who come under consistent attack to say '**** them'.

I remember Michael Knighton threatening to withdraw Carlisle from the league and close the club down unless he got an apology from prominent supporters who had said negative things about him.
