Once it's confirmed we are remaining in league 1 I think it'll speed up the sale of the club.

At that point the two prices, one for up and one for down bollocks ends right there and a clear value is established which will be lower than before Covid-19 came along.

Donald will obviously work out how much it will cost him to keep club going.

- no income
-15 signing on fees in the summer for a new team
- no fans until potentially 2021

and putting it all together I think a quick exit will follow.

I like your thought process. Hope it’s somewhere near the mark.

It concerns me this salary cap bollocks though as if they do introduce that next season it totally hinders us plus it would mean that any extra money made would go straight in their pockets.

I hate them absolute ****ers!

Hope you're right
The idea of no crowds and little income along with a potential salary cap worry me though.
Realistically it should greatly reduce the value of the club.
Can't decide if this is a good thing with the likes of FPP getting on board for the long haul
or a bad thing and we get more chancers like SD and Campbell sniffing around.
Hopefully its a good thing but I'm in a pessimistic mood at the moment.

The good thing is that FPP have to approve any sale. If they still plan on being further involved at some point they won't want the club going to some idiots who will **** it up. Mind I'd urge caution on the idea that being in league one might speed a sale up, let's just say I'd be surprised if it had that effect, think we're in for a long and rather unpleasant ride but hopefully something changes

Donald has very little hope of a sale, promotion or any enjoyment.

He knows the majority of supporters can't abide him and he'll be shunned/derided if he attends games ...

... 'behind closed doors' is probably a blessing' tbh.

Or they think **** it sell the academy and get their money back.

Hopefully not but knowing our luck...

I dont want Campbell anywhere near Safc, imo he'd be a total car crash. Much rather stick with SD if he's our best option. Love to be wrong but I dont think FPP will touch us with a barge pole atm.

I’ve kinda lost all hope that anyone decent will take us on atm, gutted like because it looked so promising at one point with fpp.
I agree Smithy...this whole saga has been like being kicked in the stotts, when you recover and get up you get kicked again but twice as hard and it goes on and on and on, please let this end soon whichever way it goes.

Realistically it can't be a flat salary cap. More phased and it should be based on your income. It will lead to all sorts of problems with teams releagted from the Championship and for that reason it won't work. That obviously won't stop Donald making excuses though. As soon as a decision is made with the league people will know where they stand and it could speed things up. I personally think Donald will look to bail asap but the hope is it isn't Campbell.

Nowt good happens to us

Sunderland way mate even when something good is happening I always expect a kick in the bollocks.

I should start selling red and white cups protect us all from that inevitable kick in the knackers
