I think you've just summed up everything I despise about football fans in one post.

I'd wager that owners do it as a challenge rather than for enjoyment.

You're accepting the premise that the only way to ever be successful is to outspend everyone else.

We need to be smarter than others, not richer.
.

I get what your saying, but whether your smart or dumb, money needs to be spent, and a considerable amount at that.

Look at liecester, they have a good business model, but when need to they spend money.

Stewart Donald has said that with our income we are only self sustainable in league 1, and that's without spending in the transfer window.

It's obvious that we would need serious investment in the championship to get promoted.

Clubs like Leicester, who can spend big money, can make big profits when they sell.

Clubs like Burnley make profits but much smaller.

Newcastle made good money with certain players but blew a lot with the likes of Xisco ...

... Joelinton must've been some weird Ashley tax dodge, no idea wtf that's all about.

(The above is guesswork btw, don't know if my opinion stacks up in reality.)

the Joelinton deal stinks TBH, ashley set up the deal, Rafa didn't want to sign him, then as soon as Rafa leaves the deal is done for £40 million. some serious money 'moving' going on there!

It's exactly what I said and you decided to take in a different way. Status does not mean you are better or worse, it means you are in a category of user who people listen to. As p

Catch 22 here, but almost everything you've said here is factually incorrect.

But I really will stop, providing you don't respond to this or subtlely namecheck me while making up whatever you can to takeaway from your attempt to flip flop on this.

See you when you post about whatever happens with a big old 'see, I told you Donald would sell to anyone but FPP a few weeks ago, and I took abuse for posting but I'm a true martyr who would never abuse the people who question me or get people banned, or tell anyone to **** off and die'

All I want is for you to stop pretending to be ITK. Whoever is feeding you these lines is as accurate as Michael J Fox playing darts with a blindfold on.

I'll post whatever I like whenever I like, you don't set the agenda on here or dictate what can be posted.

I post what I post and people can make their own minds up as they've said they do.

You've no need to worry about people being taken in ...

... I doubt they are but it wouldn't matter if they were.

If anyone is daft enough to get worked up about posts on a chat forum they deserve to be taken in ...

... but I have too much affection and respect for decent Sunderland supporters than to deliberately post nonsense or lies.

Is he still going on

Thought he had packed in for about the fourth time

Did expect it though

At present it looks like the Mags have far more reason for excitement on takeover front than us.
All takeover news here seems to have ground to a halt.

How many times is it now that they've had a big takeover imminent which falls through because of Ashley? Maybe this one won't but I wouldn't count on it.

Newcastle will become the baddies if they are taken over by them. It would be like preparing to sell their soul so long as they get shot of Ashley

Yeah it's a bit of a dubious one isn't it, there's talk of the FA not allowing the takeover for moral reasons but it hasn't stopped them before.

If there's any obstacle to it happening then we all know what, or who, that is.

Unfortunately I think they will get this one over the line. Hopefully Ashley is extracting the urine again.
