Now for the sale of Bullard, Oli, Kilbane, McShane and Ghilas and the rebuild can begin, I expect that by end of june we will have deals in place for
Manonne or Guzan (either on season loans of full deals)
Einhoff - Free as a back up GK
Dudgeon - Done deal
Evans - Done deal
Hobbs
Ayala
Another defender who can play CB or RB
Danns
Waghorn

Then a few youngsters we have never heard of or thought about thanks to shakespeares scouting team

I don't see why we would want Waghorn. In my view he fits the same bill as Fryatt.

What we REALLY need is a big player up front, to get on the end of crosses and to put the wind up some of the BIG defenders the Championship has.

I say again, I wouldn't mind getting James Beattie for a season. His experience and proven ability at this level could see us over the line.

Cullen's gash. I guess I view him in the same way everyone else looks upon McLean. Apart from the fact McLean's a half-decent striker.

As for Le Fondre, for all he's done in League Two, he's not proven above the 4th tier.

Edit: And he's a fat ****.
Cullen lost his confidence from being forced to play in the ultra-crap team we had at the start of the season, I think he's worth keeping on for a couple of years given his age. Mclean needs his head sorting out aswell and I think there is more to come from him.

Likewise, if he'd come. But after his purple patch with Stoke when he first signed, he's not really set the world alight. He's played 18 games for Rangers and Blackpool this season and failed to score. At all.

Provided he learns the basic Laws of the game, yes. Like the Offside Law, and the Scoring-Goals-Wins-Points Law.

should we assume then that akpen will be offered something? i think he was officially on trial?

I think this is just a list of those who were already under contract, but won't get a new one, I assume the loan player details will be announced separately.

I'm only surprised that Atkinson hasn't been included on this list.

not surprised we're getting rid of a few players, a little surprised with Belaid and Duke, in my personal feeling, he hasn't been too bad for us. Oh well money off the bill to bring in better players

Well said Adam, at least we've cleared some of the players who were never going to play from the squad. Now we can sign players who actually want to play for us, want to do well and aren't here just to pick up a ridiculous pay-packet of £20k+ a week. <ok>

no real surprises at all for me, belaid just doesn't strike me as a pearson-type player. as others have mentioned its about finding a fit with him in the team.

What you trying to say, Rosie, c'mon, spit it out, unlike you to be so coy!!! Or is your buy-curiousness getting to you?

hehe love it.

But yeah we want players who are committed to us, and while its never sorry to see a player to go without a club, its time to move on, no looking back, only looking forward

Get shut of Cairney for me, the most overrated kid I've ever seen! He's definately not worth £10k/week!!

Thanks Tango man, a) building his ego beyond his ability, b) giving him a stupid contract!

A little tough live might have changed his attitude on the pitch.

1. It's definitely you fool! ;)

2. Please tell me he's not on £10k a week. Please.

More like £5k I imagine.

How much do we save with these four gone?

Gardner - £15k-20k?
Duke - £4k-5k
Belaid - Barely count him as he was only really on a long-term trial £5k-7k?
***an - £10k

Hopefully we lose Bullard and Oli too, saving a total of around £100k p/w.
Considering we're being pretty tight on the wage bill that could finance about 13 decent signings (Not that we need that many)

All in all that would be saving £5.2m per year, some of which will hopefully be recycled into transfer funds.
