Anyone who went to the game today could they let us know there thoughts on how our two forwards Played today, it said on Humberside at times they needed to hold the ball up better, Did either look like scoring? Did they get on the end of any crosses? How was there general all round play?

Simpson was my man of the match up until he was replaced, and I was pissed off when he was. In fact, Brue probably took off our 3 best players in Simpson, Koren and Quinn. Simpson held it up very well, made clever runs and played it about nicely, a goal was all his performance lacked, and he never really got a decent chance. Proschwitz worked very hard. He could've done with getting in the box more often but the delivery wasn't really up to scratch. In the 92nd Proschwitz went round 2 nicely but could only fire straight at the 'keeper. I really do feel Bruce was to blame for us missing out on 2 points. Meyler was awful and should've been replaced by either Cairney or Evans. Instead he takes off 2 midfielders playing well and a striker playing his best football in months, replacing them with 2 less talented midfielders and a winger that didn't look like he knew where he was supposed to be. Incidentally Cam could've been through on goal if Meyler had played a half decent pass through the middle, unfortunately his pass was disastrous, as was the case for the majority of the game.
Simpson was average. Proschwitz was excellent for the first 89 minutes. He won everything in the air and his touch, control and passing was good. Then, in the final couple of minutes, he missed two great chances to win us the match. I.e. The one thing he truly ****ed up was the one thing you want your forwards to do: SCORE
Nobody cares if you have a forward who's **** all game and then pops up with a goal or two. They do care, however, if you have a forward who plays exceptionally well only to miss glorious chances to win you three points in injury time.

mentioned it elsewhere, but i feel the replacing of simpson for evans was the turning point..
it was a **** game but we where relatively in control until that point, then we had no pace or outlet at front and there goal was coming.
as much as i want prozzy to come good he just isnt going too , no matter how much people clamber for him to be given an extended run, maybe they just dont want to believe after bullard we could spunk a load on deadwood of a different sort, but he just looks uncomfortable on a football pitch under any sort of opponent pressure to me im afraid.
in my opinion it was just another game that showed neither are good enough for a team in our position , they both have ability to a degree, prozzy showed that at leyton orient but compare it to what our competitors are putting out there and theres no comparison

personally dont think simpson played great but he was somebody to occupy there defence to make runs etc, it was a pretty flat 4-5-1 for much of the 2nd half and i thought that let them back in it..
didnt think it was a coincidence we looked most dangerous last 5 mins when we put stewart up top with prozzy to make it a 2 again , not that he was much good either but it was at least it was something for them to think about

Simpson dropped quite deep during many of our attacks to get the ball and linked up the play nicely at times. However, he made hardly any attacking runs and as a result never got himself in a goalscoring position. DJ is right however that we looked totally disjointed when he came off, it was a poor tactical decision by Bruce. Proschwitz on the other hand made numerous flick ons and dangerous runs, as well as carving out a couple of half chances for himself. He had a decent game but in the end he simply isn't the answer to our striker problem. We really lack a skilful, clinical striker who has the ability to go past players in the box and score goals from chances like the two Proschwitz missed near the end today. I can't help but feel we would be winning games like today's if Fryatt wasn't injured.
Prozzy was strong today...even with Wotton constantly climbing all over him. The only problem was Brady and Rosie put hardly any crosses in from open play...but it was a slipery surface and we kept on falling on our arses. I actually thought Stewart linked up better with Prozzy than Simpson did.
Yes, totally agree with this. The turning point was taking a striker off (Simpson) and replacing him with a midfielder (Evans), which clearly signalled what we'd already suggested from our play at the outset of the second half; "we're going totry and hang onto what we've got".
This was a shocking decision against what has to be one of the poorest performances I've seen from any team at this level, especially as the home side. We were totally in control and they hardly caused us any trouble at all until we made that switch, then suddenly they came to life. Up until then we completely bossed the game and the midfield.
Koren was much better today as an attacking mid, so we take Simpson off and push him up with Proschwitz before replacing him altogether, very strange decisions.
The two up front weren't doing anything spectacular but they were helping to stop them playing it out from the back.
Simpson looks back to where he was before he had those few good games last season and at the start of this. He tries hard and has more ability than Mclean (sp?) but always seems to choose the wrong option.
I really want Proschwitz to succeed and thought he did pretty well first half but he looks like a fish out of water and second half looked like he'd run out of energy and ideas.
I must admit when Stewart played down the middle a couple of seasons ago he looked better than when he played on the wing, i remember is pace causing all sorts of problems. If there was ever a time you want a player to regain his form then that times now
He actually looked stronger...didn't get knocked off the ball...must be the added weight
Both Simpson and Proschwitz did everything but score. Both looked good but I think when the new forward comes in Simpson will be the one to get the chop. A point is something, Proschwitz to start against Barnsley.
Taking Simpson off for Evans was an appalling decision, he was keeping them much higher up the pitch and Meyler had been utter dog ****e all game and Evans should have replaced him. Very poor substitutions all round yesterday, Koren also looked one of the most likely to get us a winner, we need to stop ambling around and inviting pressure when we're only 1-0 up.
Typical - sign the loanees ona permanent and their performances takes a nose dive.

Already 4 points ahead of title winning 2 points a game, yes they could have a catastrophic fall from grace but can't see this happening.
