Saw a post on here yesterday regarding Wayne Bridge and how his career didn't progress as we may have thought since leaving Saints. Personally Bridge is a player I'd love back before he gets too past it.

However, James Beattie last night was in Vodka Revs Southampton (not suggesting for one second he is 'on his way back') but was notably overweight and out of shape. He was class when he played for us and one of my favourite players, but now without a club and little interested parties it seems his career is rather faltering. For me I wonder where it went wrong from him scoring bags of goals for us and even getting involved with England. Such a shame to see a club favourite in a low point of their career.

Would you like to see Beatts back or has his time come and gone? He should never have left!

The difference in career:

Beattie = Large ego
Bridge = No ego

Unless you're as good as Cristiano Ronaldo, a large ego gets you nowhere

Bridge - Yes
Beattie - No (but i would not be a silly part that would boo, and get on his back should he ever return)
but saying that about beattie, his record in the championship for sheff utd, is pretty good i think.(maybe his level)
