The place to discuss Former Gills Players.

Just thought i'd start a thread where we can post items about former Gills players. Seeing as it's not really Gills news or worthy or a separate thread of it's own but still worth a mention.

So please place any links to news involving former Gills in this thread.

As we're on about centre backs. How about Darren dennehy. Has a superb loan spell here but followed Stimson to barnet. Got injured then released and now plays in his native Ireland for cork city. Not played a game for them by the looks of things since they signed him in January

I just looked on the Cork City website and see that he has been playing.

Whilst we are on the topic of Wiki, it says that neither Spiller or Richards have played for Luton since joining them. Surely that isn't true is it? Both are decent League 2 standard so should surely be strolling into the team?

Yeah neither of them played a game due to injury as they both had operations and are still not back to full fitness. A lot of Luton fans are not happy with them, mainly Danny Spiller as he is working for that Herbalife.

To say a lot of Luton fans are not happy with Spiller is an understatement. If I remember correctly some of them would also like to tell him to shove his Herbalife. If you remember I have spoken of this product before. It may have got Spills a nice new car but it never won him any friends in my department regards the marketing of this product.

Im pretty sure he started selling it when he was still with us, got a couple of the other ex gills into it too although I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Ben Strevens has joined Blue Square South side Eastleigh where he joins another ex-gill in Ross Flitney. I found this rather stange as Strevens is easily good enough for League Two level and for a team like Dagenham. Also former Gills Assistant manager Richard Hill is currently the boss there at Eastleigh!

Neil Harris who was on loan here at Priestfield for the whole 2005-06 season has decided to retire after knee problems. Harris is Millwall's record ever goal scorer and also fought off testicular cancer. Good luck to him in whatever he does next.
