Unfortunately not a spectacular return - missed a penalty and pulled a good chance wide. Still, a few minutes game time into his legs, and a few more games to finish the season will hopefully see him recover some form
Well done to Regan Charles Cook who is top scorer in Scottish Premier league on 13 goals. Be interesting where his next move will be
Didn't realise Tom O Conner was released by Southampton and is now at Wrexham. Only played about 3 games though. Just shows being an under 23 player at a prem club does not mean you are likely to be that good.
Akinfenwa signs for Faversham town. Darren Hare is manager there. Should bring in a few Gills fans down there. Nice
Neil Harris back at Millwall as Head Coach on an 18 month contract. So this season from Gills to Cambridge to Wall.
Lapslie banging in the goals for Bradford. Good to see an upturn in his fortunes. He arrived as a proven player, and his again proving his potential and capabilities. What turns good players into average or below average players here at Gillingham? We used to get the best out of our team............
Various factors, but I really do think, Gillingham is not a nice place to be at times. We are a tight ground and when the feeling is positive, it echos around the place, but when the negativity starts it's demoralising, I've felt it as a fan in years gone by, so I'm sure the players feel it to. When we won L2 under maddog, there was so much positivity around the gaff, everything was fun for players and fans alike, and that all started with the manager. But when things go wrong, some fans just get nasty either vocally and to some much lesser extent, in their actions. And a few players over time have responded alike. Ehmer being the most recent of those cases. Would you want to play for a team that boo's you, I wouldn't. I remember seeing this at Everton a few years back (via media sources) it was awful, fans challenging players in the street! I'm sure people remember some of the graffiti during Scally's reign and how his personal mobile number was abused, and comments towards his family (I think it was). If we want players to do well, we need to leave the negativity and hatred at home. I know it's the thing these days, we pay our money and we have a right to respond to poor perfromances, all I ask is, how would you or I respond if we were on the end of that.
Ronaldo Sithole now plays for Whitstable who are playing in FA Vase semi final. They won first leg 2-0 in front of record crowd 2905. If they win they will play at Wembley in final.
When I last saw him on the tv he was so big I thought he was going to explode. How he's not had a coronary yet I don't know.
