That song is so hard to play on drums, so hats off to Taylor Hawkins who is an incredible drummer

He used to drum for Alanis Morissette until he got the gig for the Foo's

Stamina on a 16's beat with some interuption of amazing fill in's. Also changing the fill in's, amazing drummer. Grohl is actually quoted as saying he misses playing drums, and Hawkins is better than he

Grohl drummed on the Songs for the Deaf album by Queens Of the Stone Age which is an amazing album as well

Yeah exactly, totally did his head in. At the end of the day though his brain was never in the right place due to his self destruct button. When they did Bleach was also a good indicator of awesome grunge, I'll go with Ten though, awesome album. To me they never had the same aggressiveness as nirvana though, Cobain used that extremely well

The drummer on Bleach (Chad Channing) got sacked and they brought in Dave Grohl, then they released Nervermind, bet he was sick as a dog at that

They had a few drummers, Dale Crover from the Melvins was with them for a while.

I know Melvins were an heavy influence on the band as an whole but to my knowledge it was Channing drumming on the debut album 'Bleach' though. Can you show me songs of Crover drumming?

Not being funny, its just news to me mate

Don't think he was with them long.........

Looks like I'm wrong he played with them a lot early on.............

Your right about Channing and if I'm right there's only 2 tracks on Bleach where Crover does the Drums.

“Does it make you doubt your decision-making ability in music?” “Not at all. I still like what I do in the Melvins better. I like our music better. Not putting down Nirvana at all. I love those guys, those guys are my friends. It was amazing to see those guys get as big as they did,” Crover explained. “The Melvins are the better band, absolutely. Not everyone’s gonna agree with me.”
Dale also pointed out that he got the best of both worlds, because he does in fact appear on Nirvana records: “I played on three of their records, and I get paid for those records.” If you’re curious, those would be Nirvana’s first album ‘Bleach,’ the rarities compilation ‘Insesticide’ and the ‘With the Lights Out’ box set.

Nice one Luv, he is good!

To me though you can be just as good like Chad Smith of the RHCP (who fits the band perfectly)

Or Brad Wilk of Rage Against the machine (who is awesome)

The drummer locks in with the bass and you take it from there, RHCP's + RATM do this with each other perfectly, as do Slipknot, their drummer is also awesome and I can only dream of being as good as Joey Jordison (although he's left the band now, very disappointing news)

he is doing alot of blast beats there, and he's good. But to fit a chemistry of a very succesful band is an whole different ball game

Thanks for the vid though mate, not seen that before and he's certainly talanted

It's not the best vid to be honest, he's brilliant at times and how they keep up with each other is brilliant, the guy on guitar has 2 bass strings most of the time and plays bass and guitar at the same time.

This is better............
