Well, if I'm going to kick-off with Freddie and the dreamers then I have to have been in a very silly mood. I followed up with peter and Gordon because they were so naff and stylised that they too were funny.
The Scaffold - just for the hell of it and led on to the 2 comedy vids.
As for the last posting. I've no idea, I just found it!
Even from their earliest days the inter-relationships betwen members was never easy. It was probably made more difficult due to the fact that you had 3 brothers there. Now we have a situation where Brian Wilson appears to be attempting to re-write the bands history and fight his own deamons all at the same time.
I have to admit that the beach Boys are probably my favourite band. The majority of their albums were merely collations of single songs with the exception of Surfs Up and Pet Sounds. It's not until you either see them live or listen to live recordings that you find this neat and tidy close-harmony group are in fact a rock and roll band.
Sure, as with all bands, there is some real crap in their discography but there are some really good songs that match anything done by their contempories.
