Welcome back Dave from your sailing adventures.

Where did you go?

It was supposed to be a quiet trip from Portsmouth to Baiona. This time of year in a 45ft yacht - a piece of cake! However, we got caught by a deep low in The Channel and they kept on coming a deepening the further we progressed. In mid Biscay we had 30-35ft seas and gusts up to 40 knots - all from the wrong direction (W and SW). Left Portsmouth on Monday evening and berthed in Bionna late Saturday (650 miles) so we didn't do too bad. Got a some bad bruising and a couple of cracked ribs - didn't stop me getting totalled Saturday night! Got home midnight last night!

Sounds a bit crazy, glad you're back in one piece. I tend to use the Channel Tunnel. <cheers>

Sounds like you had a right adventure. Good to see you are back in one piece.

It certainly had its moments. One of the crew was a lad from Stretford. He supports United but is not that interested in football. However it made for some very funny banter between us which was almost incomprehensible to the rest of the crew <laugh>
