I was going to welcome Dave home with some Pumpkins as well
It was supposed to be a quiet trip from Portsmouth to Baiona. This time of year in a 45ft yacht - a piece of cake! However, we got caught by a deep low in The Channel and they kept on coming a deepening the further we progressed. In mid Biscay we had 30-35ft seas and gusts up to 40 knots - all from the wrong direction (W and SW). Left Portsmouth on Monday evening and berthed in Bionna late Saturday (650 miles) so we didn't do too bad. Got a some bad bruising and a couple of cracked ribs - didn't stop me getting totalled Saturday night! Got home midnight last night!

Sounds a bit crazy, glad you're back in one piece. I tend to use the Channel Tunnel.![]()

How do you sail your boat thru the tunnel??![]()
