It's simply not true that this forum is a CTWD stronghold. Sure, we have the majority of people behind us but there's more pro name changers on here than I've seen anywhere else. The previous polls support that. Trying to argue that this forum's latest poll will be skewed in CTWD's favour is nonsense; every other poll has and will show a similar result.

Are you on the CTWD committee?

No. Just a proud member.

For or against Poll results:
85 votes cast (I know, I know it's not many but you can't force people to vote)

1. 63 = 74%
2. 13 = 15%
3. 7 = 8%
4. 1 = 1%
5. 1 = 1%

I declare the against have it by a landslide.

You must have made an error! According to the good Doctor, only 1% or 2% are against it!

And, as Happy and Craig will tell you, he's always right and can do no wrong!

Who voted 5? I can't see a 5 vote?

This is strange. I thought anti name changers were the great minority.<whistle>

This forum doesn't account for the whole Hull City population, what if this forum counts towards that total as 1%. Then there is only .74% in favour.

Just saying as you cannot base a poll on one small section.

I'm not bothered either way as I want to keep the name but times change.

I'm sure if you went for a job interview/ in your current role and they asked you 'How do you embrace change?' you wouldn't say it's the way it's always been done so done try and fix what isn't broken. They're going to make the changes and if they work it's a bonus if they don't they just revert back to what it was before.

Hmmmmm.

Change in a work contexts is usually about methods and procedures, designed to improve rather just be different.

The older you get the more change you've seen, the more turds you've had to witness trying to make a name for themselves as they seek to boost their career at everyone else's expense so they can put it on their cv. 'I successfully designed and implemented a new coffee-making rota'

The name change is not a change as such- just an ill-judged swipe at the council who were rude to AA (in his eyes).

It's been a massive OG for AA hasn't it?- he's made headlines in this country and beyond as a cantankerous, wilfull, illogical, cranky old man.

Is that what he wants at 76 years of age?

People keep saying this and I keep explaining why it's bullshit. The chances all these polls having found the same result of huge opposition to the name change just out of coincidence while there's actually a silent majority who haven't voted in any of them are several million to 1. It just doesn't happen. That's why research using a sample, not the whole population, works and is the accepted method of conducting research.
