Well the beeb are defending him, no surprises there. Di Canio is a nutjob, it wouldn't be worth taking such a risk.
I can't stand Martin O'Neill, but I don't particularly like or dislike Sunderland. Having said that, sacking him drops their chances of staying up, I think.
Presumably Sunderland will go with a caretaker manager until the end of the season, which always seems odd to me. If the manager you've sacked wasn't good enough to run the team, why would their assistant be? Like all of you, I've nothing against Sunderland per se, but at the moment feel it's us or them. Fingers crossed the sacking doesn't give them any kind of boost.
I feel sorry for Norwich (not often I say that but when its against arsenal I make a special allowance)
Great result against United today! We really should've won though. RVP was clearly offside when Kagawa struck the ball. There was no "hint" of offside about it! Still, a tie against United is nothing to complain about. I think it shows that when we play really well we are a top 10 side for sure.
Agreed, it doesn't seem likely that we will be able to keep Carroll, even though I'd rather we kept him.
There was already interest in the winter and we fended that off. Then again he got injured so that made it a lot easier. Still, I am a little worried, I don't want to lose him. Hopefully he doesn't want to leave after only one season with us.
Its certainly a team that has potential and is improving at the moment. A strong end to the season will only help in their quest to retain talent
