Newport County Statement - Following a period of dialogue, Michael Flynn has left his role as Newport County AFC manager with immediate effect and departs on amicable terms.

Newport fans seem convinced he'll replace McCarthy at Cardiff.
 
He's done an outstanding job at Newport but unfortunately he seems to have run out of gas. It's a shame he couldn't have got a promotion after coming close twice. Newport's loss will be someone else's gain. Wheels are coming off at Cardiff and no mistake.
