I don't think that we should be starting Lloris and I'm hoping that Townsend and Lennon are on the correct wings, but the rest of the team's fine.
Soldado is just back from injury, otherwise I'd have liked to have seen him start and the bench is too strong, as I would've rather left some of them behind.
Good to see Stambouli and Fazio in the side, Bentaleb returning after his Algerian games and Davies getting an opportunity again.

I'll be very happy with any kind of win, some decent individual performances and no injuries.
Push the first XI to put on a good display against West Brom on the weekend and then give this side another shot at displacing some of them by doing well against Forest in the League Cup.
They're flying at the moment, so that could be a real test. Pearce might be tempted to rest a few, but those brought in will be well up for it.

According to my stream Bertonghen's starting and unknown Bentaleb Nabil's also getting a rare run-out.

I have no idea what Pochettino was saying about Lloris being chosen as captain. It was his choice and we need 25 leaders and all that, but the rest? What...?
Bit of a stupid question though, to be fair.

Peter Reid would never make so many changes. That's because he's ****! <laugh>
Seriously though, what the **** does he know about managing a successful European campaign?
He's due to take charge of Mumbai City FC and he'll probably get the sack from them within a year.

What'sTheMatter,Face and Clarke Carlisle commentating. Better than Andy Townsend.

Kane hits the bar! Bloody woodwork again.

Townsend on the right, again. Gives away a naive foul.
I wonder how long we'll have to see him out there? He's not 100% fit and I don't think it's helping his form being played on the wrong side.

Volkov going down extremely easily twice in the first five minutes. Diving twat.

If anyone's wondering why Partizan's kit looks a bit odd, it's because they've got no shirt sponsor.
I wonder if they've fallen foul of the UEFA restrictions? Alcohol, perhaps?

Already two reasons to regret Townsend on the field.

    1. Gives up a foul in a very dangerous area when he should have cleared the ball out of bounds.
    2. With a break on, he performs a fairly slick but time consuming dribble when he should have passed it forward quickly to give us a shot at an undefended goal.

What's that, 3 posts in two games without one bouncing in? Is it luck or trying to cut it too fine?

That's a great home crowd. Something I find to be a positive of the Europa league. Some of the poorer teams muster up an interesting atmosphere.

The second team this year passes the ball much better than the first team last year. Credit to Pochettino.

Some nervy defending. Fazio makes a bad mistake, and Vertonghen and Bentaleb save him. Excellent defending from Vertonghen, my favorite player.<whistle>
