It's this sort of flippant comment which demonstrates how pathetic your faux outrage earlier was. Clearly, Guru is just wumming, so we can assume your attacks on Dave were cycnical and just further wind-ups.

It also begs the question... why does he moan when he gets stick back?

If you're going to dish it out, be prepared to take it. Unfortunately, Guru wants to have his cake and eat it.

It is very clear from all of this that dave has no idea what being a mod is all about, most of the "abuse" from this thread came from dave, yet he sees it fit to wield an axe. Very poor form indeed, you should really have a look at yourself dave and ask if you are the right type of person for the job.

It is a perfect case of a little bit of power has gone to someone's head.

Guru is clearly not to everyone’s taste, on this or our board but as it says at the top of the page;

Hoppersblue10, you are perfectly entitled to your opinion, but you can't base that on one thread! Guru took great delight in going from thread to thread, stirring up trouble between Norwich posters to the extent that four posters left and several more took a break to get away from his "dog with a bone" style of posting!

When he was told to behave or else, he attacked my style of moderation and carried on trouble-making regardless! For your information, Supers has told me that although he regarded Guru's constant stirring to be out of order, he personally would not have banned Guru! There's his main objective shot down in flames!

The owner of this site allows each board to set its own rules and standard of moderation!

as dave has mentioned, i would not have banned guru. i feel it is incredibly harsh to ban anyone from an internet forum. unless someone is racist or something like that, i wouldn't ban anybody. but then i'm not a mod - i'd be a bloody useless mod! what guru always seemed to forget was that he wasn't on the ipswich page. if he wanted to post on the norwich page i doubt you'd find many who would think he shouldn't, but he was like a dog with a stick and the repetition was so mind-numbingly boring that i ended up putting him on the 'ignore list'. i was happy enough doing that and i'd like to think if people either aren't interested in what i say or find me tedious, they'd use the same route as i did with him. i have no idea why guru was banned from our board but i personally think the mods on our board have done a pretty good job up to this point and if they saw fit to ban him then they must have had good reason to. having had a peak at his 'resignation letter' (sorry - no idea what to call it) he seems to be quitting because he isn't allowed to post on the norwich forum anymore. i assume he can still post on his own teams forum, so why the outburst? surely being an ipswich fan he will still want to comment on all things ipswich? i don't know - it all seems a bit weird to me. he came across as a wum to me, i could be wrong, but that suggests i was right to be honest.
 
The interesting point to take out of this is Guru left after he was banned from the Norwich Board

Clearly, it was the only board he was interested in.

Dave we have had our ups and downs and will continue to do so but I do think that you have acted a bit harshly in banning Guru. He was just engaging in a genuine debate. I admit I am no innocent when it comes to a wind up but looking at what Guru posted he didn't insult anyone. Yes this is your forum and I am not in any way telling you how to run your board. I am only offering my honest opinion. Afterall I thought this site was meant to encourage honest and free debate.
 
JWM - Take a look at the rules/guidelines thoroughly - it is not all down to abuse and insults, there is much more to it. For example - persistent wumming, and given the amount of that he has done over the last 2 years or so, I think he has had a pretty good run. Then there is the repetitive theme of telling the NCFC board moderators how to moderate the NCFC board? Excuse the outburst - but who the **** does he think he is? Somehow he managed to get it in to his dense cranium that he could do and say whatever he wanted - as a visitor.

I rest my case your honour - guilty as charged.
 
JWM, I agree I have always until recently enjoyed good banter with you, however, over the past few months, with Guru going on his "dog with a bone" crusades of attacking several threads on our forum with the sole purpose of causing trouble, you also have changed! You became like Phil Thompson was with Graham Taylor in the England set up, running around with a big silly grin repeating everything that the master has said!

I'm hopeful that without the influence of Guru, you and I can get back on track! Believe it or not, it upset me to ban Guru, he pm'd me during his previous temporary ban and admitted that he'd been out of order and deserved his ban and promised he would behave when he was allowed back! Didn't last long did it?
