Anyone else feel we've got a good set of fixtures? If we can take 4 points from the first 2 games then we've got one game until that horrible run in at christmas where i wouldn't expect any points. Then most of our easier home matches second half of the season! Wonder what the odds are on 4-4 first game.....

    Excellent!

Sets us up perfectly for winning the league the following season and the champions league in 2014, which will probably be played on 24th May which is my birthday!

I knew Ashley had a plan!!

Not too bothered about Swansea away at Easter but the Boxing Day away game is going to be a pain.

time to be having unbelieveable nerves in august. Hopefully this will be the season where agent bruce produces sunderland's ultimate downfall and loses by a coincidence 1-5

Looking at the fixtures no-one really difficult for us (barring 1st game) til November, we could be flying. Can't wait to get started now.

March 3rd 2012 is my wedding day so what joker decided that the fixture list would throw up Newcastle vs Sunderland!!!!!

Cateres cancelled, cars sent back, suits unhired and church unbooked, now i've just got to gently break the news to the other half!!!!!!!

Can anyone give me any advice how to do this.....please!!!!!!!!

I'm gutted the derby is the 2nd game in, I prefer to be 8-10 games into the season so you can see where the other sits in the table. Mocking value and all that!!

The derby will have no affect on how each of our seasons pan out imo. You can never tell how good a team is until late September or so

I agree Badger. Thats why it would of been better to play them later when the team is settled and hopefully consistantly good.

With all the rumoured changes to our team, I am worried that they will not have had time to gel before the derby game and the new signings may not realise that they will be in for a battle.

On the flip side, nobody will have seen what our new players can do so may play in our favour!!!
