If M'ON wants Heskey, I trust his judgement.

Recon you are way off [ I hope ] MoN has had ample time the last eighteen months, to have put a sort of wish list in place, planning his next move as it were, but Haskey and Owen to my mind are out of the question, but like you I wait with antisipation, the future started today.

To be fair, if all your strikers get fit then I don't even think that is a priority area. 2 from Bendtner, Wickham, Campbell and Ji is looking pretty strong in the first team and for back up. I know you've all turned on Bendtner, but until a couple of weeks ago he was the best thing since sliced bread so I reckon he's still a good player. Only places that are in desperate need of strengthening for yous are right back and centra back IMHO, as O'Shea is terrible

    Westwood
    RB CB brown bardsley
    Larsson vaughan gardner richardson
    wickham bendtner

I don't think Sessegnon is a Martin O'neill player, if he is, just ship Richardson to left back and bardsley to right back.

I don't really see that you need much strengthening apart from defence to be honest, looks a fairly solid first XI for me.

i don't think MON will sign anyone. on paper Sunderland have got easily a top 9 team. Sunderland got a really good striker in Benthner (dunno how to spell his name and he is underrated) if he boosts up his work rate and commitment, he can have a really good second half season, and then in the summer sign a 15+ goal scorer. plus sessegnon is quality :)

thoughts as a villa fan - gutted mate (because he a quality manager (best villa have had in a long time), an his replacement is a **** one :( lol
my MON summary - good value manager, consistent, hardly wastes money (actually uses players he signs), get the best out of clubs resources.

all round a managerial coup for Sunderland, hes a manager worth being patient with:)

    hope you agree commachio :)

Cheers mate always appreciate the views of others, seems like the man can do no wrong....

Now will he come in for any Villa players...please don't say Heskey....

Warnock would be good....although there's a lot on here who have exhausted several boxes of Andrex tissues over Zog..Who seems to be doing ****e at the moment.

Ha cheers mate, im glad someone appreciates my comments :)

yh MON is a steady manager, he'll build suunderland a good foundation (which they have been lacking) to go with some good individual players like larrson and sessegnon, he'll also get the best out of players like turner (who has potential) and richardson and bardley (who can become good consistent players)

ermm as for signing villa players i highly doubt it, i don't think that villa players will offer you anything extra.

ha Heskey i wish you would sign him get his overpaid fat*** off our backs lol :p.

warnock is a consistant little player , and if Sunderland had to take one villa player i agree it would be him. As for zoggy, he hasn't really adjusted to the rough defensive villa game plan Mcleish has got them playing. i doubt he'll be leaving anytime soon.

so what are your views commachio ??

I stated Warnock cos he's a decent l/b, (and in my dream time, as i do rate him) although i'd like him to try for Petrov personally..

MoN has a huge understanding of the game, and seems a disciplinarian, something we have been lacking..

I wil be the first to admit he wasn't my first choice, but he's kind of infectious, and MoN fever has well and truely taken hold..

Can he get the best out of an average squad? Well that's his job and one he seems to do well...

Now if he could persuade a certain Mr Bent to join him, i'd be happy...(this won't go down well on this board i'm sure)...Or find another in the same mould as this is what we are lacking...

Honestly believe given time, he could have us competing in the mid upper section of the league, much as i expect you hope for your team mate...

Petrov and gabbz has been playing very well this season , he is 32/33, but i feel gardner or larrson can be jus as effective in the petrov role :)

yh i agree with time an some good signings you can even be competing for europa league, or even win one of the cups.

as for villa, im dreading the new few seasons :( lool
