Ibe is the next Ronaldo. Guaranteed. Cheyrou was the next Zidane. Pongolle was the next Ronaldinho. Sterling is the next Messiah.

Januzaj is the next McManaman
Welbeck is the next Sturridge
Herrrrarrra is the next Henderson
Shaw is the next Enrique

We can all dream

Well that proves a point DR. If he was a well known player with amazing skills I would have known how to spell his name.

I assume he's another member of the Anfield Dross club. He can't be anything special, you didn't even know

He's a young player who failed to make the grade, failing to see your point

Has no Utd fan ever bigged up a young player only for them to not make it? Course you havent <doh>

LOL the next Ronaldo now! As well as the next ZZ, sure you havn't got the next Messi hidden away too?

Who knows what else we might find if we dig deep enough? The next Shearer hidden behind his collection of hub caps in Toxteth
or maybe the next Edgar Davids selling smack in Speke
is there the possibility of the next Gattuso working in Mcdonalds in Kirkby?

We await the next revelation with baited breath

someone email LVG quickly

Januzaj is the next McManaman
Welbeck is the next Sturridge
Herrrrarrra is the next Henderson
Shaw is the next Enrique

If any of the above is true, sell the lot of as quickly as possible

This is all getting a bit silly..........but I'm fine with that.

Juwanawaj is **** and will be on the bench all season with Nani playing instead of him. <ok>

Quite funny for you actually

So predictable for the RS fans to clamour that 1) their team was not at full strength compared to a full strength United side and 2) that it was a totally meaningless fixture that they couldn't care losing.

The prematch excitement and hype had suddenly never existed..."the biggest club match in the world" has never been mentioned by Brenda <laugh>

As LVG quite rightly said (with typical understatement), the RS are not our favourite opponents. It is better to win than to lose. And no doubt that the RS wanted to win...desperately <wah>

1) Feel free to point out where I claimed Man Utd had a full strength side out :)

2) Again, feel free to see where I said it was meaningless or meaningful. I was merely pointing out that several Man Utd posters claimed it was pointless prior to kickoff but are now arguing the case post result <laugh>

Its the Liverpool fan way <ok>

It was never pointless. anyone who claims otherwise should be banned from the world forever.

He'll certainly struggle to get games in this LVG system. No way can he play as a wing back as he tackles like a wet paper bag and United already have 3 other more established 10's.

Damn, I knew this would happen, that's why I kept banging on about it. The game had far less value than the charity shield, the only gain by both sides was the financial reward leading up to the game. By winning, United got a piece of silverware that is probably worth less than the polish they will buy to keep it shiny. The 1 million dollars is acceptable, and I would imagine Liverpool are quite likely to get a financial reward for runners up

But can we PLEASE stop all this nonsense that it is a reflection on the future league games. From what I saw of the highlights, all 3 of United goals were the result of some pathetic defending, and some subtle passing to the build up from United. Thats why we won 3-1. But will it affect the league games? not in the slightest. Might I propose a 10 pm tonight curfew on the bragging rights. Even that deadline is generous considering the value of the result

Its all banter, the 2 biggest clubs (fans) having a laugh, OK UTD fans laughing at Liverpool <laugh>

I would rather win both league games and lose the Masters of the Universe Go USA! Cup final or whatever it's called than the other way around. But I would have preferred to win all three. And winning against your rivals is always nice / losing to your rivals is always bad, no matter how trivial. It probably has no effect on the league games, but it does help Utd gain momentum going into the new season. I would rather start the season having won all the preseason games than having lost them, even if the effect only lasts until the end of the first game.

Stirling the new Messiah??? Bet the lad doesn't know whats expected of him. One last supper with a bunch of bearded wierdos, and then nailed to a cross in full view of Anfield.
And his last words being " Good view, I can see my house from here!"

At Anfield they won't be bearded weirdos but they will be moustachioed and sporting perms. Rushy, Aldridgey, Sounessy, McDermotty.

What are you on? :)

I am going to wine and dine and get flaming high on this result. The RS seriously weakened by losing rat face , then beating them in the 'biggest world club match' coming from behind: my august cannot have begun better. :)

On nothing at all Christian. Nothing gives me greater pleasure that seeing the YSB's in turmoil, but just trying to put it in perspective. Rest assured my comments will have no mercy when the real football starts when the prem kicks off.

But this was hardly match of the century, although it would have reached that status had the scoreline been reversed. In fact, it managed that status today, sort of just after the penalty, and right up to the millisecond before Rooney scored.

The excitement was getting fever pitch on the RS board at half time. Then after the match, everyone disappeared. Not a word. That match never even existed haha. :)
