According to BBC this morning, it was about the dismissal of Pearson's son. The problem was, the offending tape was made on the goodwill tour of Thailand - the owners' home country. The report says it definitely wasn't for footballing reasons. See :

Is he the last sacking of last season or the first of this season?

Whatever it was must have been pretty bad given his heroics last season and their promotion the previous year.

First of this season.

Apparently, as far as the bookies are concerned, the season starts on the day the fixtures are released.

His son was sacked over 2 weeks ago, so why wasn't Pearson sacked then. Why have they let him sign 3 players so far this summer ?
It doesn't quite add up to me, although he had a lot of previous, which wouldn't have helped him.
He'll get another job though, they always do.
In fact if he's still available next April and it's going tits up for Dick and Ellis is getting twitchy...............
