Mine was Brighton at the Goldstone Ground. We lost 3-1 April 86.
Left Washington at midnight on the bus and got there 9am. I was 18.
I was at that, Venison scored an own goal if I remember.
Sure we won 3 - 1 there the following season.

I know I replied earlier, but thinking about it now, it was also my first away game.
I went down on the Friday and stayed at a mates house. Met up with a couple of Washington (Cherry Tree) mates at the ground who had gone down on the bus.
I came back on the Monday.

I was at that game with Chris Waddles brother. Sundland fans jumped behind the bar and started serving pints and throwing bags of crisps all over the place. Good times.
Edit...the Burnley game

Mine was Wigan away, ****hole. It was the season Elmo was called back from Hull on loan then went back after 1 game or something. Anyway we won 2-0.... I think.

May 77, penultimate game of the season, Norwich, 2-2, metal fences, viv Busby, coming back from 2 down, bobby kerr, getting the full end rather than the 1/3 section earmarked, watching Bradford city fans fighting I cant remember who in a service station car park.

Late 80's, was either Leeds or Bradford away. Also made it to that cup replay at Coventry. 5-0. Wonderful day out.

No offence but I had you down as being older than you are. Weird how you can perceive people without even meeting them. I think cos I'm old... everyone else is too! <laugh>

Preston in the 1979/80 promotion season beaten 2-1. We never lost another game after that.
