7th is a real possibility and what we should aim for. 8th and 9th would still be a good season. 10th would be a little disappointing in all honesty now. And 6th or higher would be amazing.
As I said thought, our next two games are Manure and Liverpool, Stokes are Wigan and Blackburn. We'll most likely lose our 7th spot.
Top half finish is the minimum requirement now really. I'm always happy to get to 40 points but I think we should expect a little more now. 7th is a realistic aim but it will will rest on Ashley really. If he releases enough funds to sign a quality left back and some cover at centre back I think we'll get there. Obviously I'd like a striker too but I don't think the need is crippling. I have a feeling Best and Benni would link well and Best would get some goals with Ba out of the scene. His role has changed a little since Ba came in. Ba takes up a lot positions he used to and rightly so as he is the better finisher. I just think Best may come back to himself when Ba departs for the ACON. Of course if we sell in January it will change things dramatically because our first eleven is where our strength is.
I'll go for 8th for us. Just behind Fulham and just ahead of Everton and Stoke. Those three is our mini league of 4 at present.
Don't rule West Brom out of a top half finish playing well and have some good players.
Evening lads, had an account here for a while, but haven't posted an article, just welcoming myself - hope you are all well.
Now, after the start we've had, and seeing as we are near enough half way through the season, would a 10th finish as mentioned by Llambias as a mininum a few weeks ago be sufficient enough for most of us supporters?
Taking into account our current position and performances, am i alone in thinking we should, and possibly have a good crack at 6th-7th place?
