Thatnnew new one was gash

The native Americans one

Ern needs to see that **** if he thinks prometheuusos is **** and unbelievable
but still far better written than the plot of Prometheus, the Sharknado series are also all better written than Prometheus.

I'm not saying that blew his whole argument away, but he completely swerved that post <whistle>
Sorry was out, so will respond, Star Wars is cheesey ****, but all the characters act in a fairly logical way, the motivations are pretty clear. The crew in Prometheus do nothing other than make one ridiculously illogical decision after another, most of the time in complete contradiction to their character's role. The only character to do anything logical at all is the engineer, he makes the correct decision to kill them all because people that mind-bendingly ******ed deserve to have their genes removed from existence.

lol, no L here at all, the closest any of you have come to refuting anything I've said is sucky's 'it eats air', which I dealt with. Has shown most of you to be superficially inclined though 'ooh look, it's shiny, that means it's good'.

I don't think any of us have taken any of this seriously tbf

Even the Sucky "it eats air" wasn't serious <laugh>

Still a good film though <whistle>

The Aliens are actually based on real life on Earth

Parasitical insects capture a victim, sting it to paralyse it and lay an egg or eggs inside the victim and the grub/grubs take all the protein they need from the victim, they then form into a chrysalis and hatch out as fully formed insects, who do not eat but take sips of nectar from plants until they repeat the process before they die

In the Alien films an egg is laid inside the victim and the grub for want of a better word takes all the protein it needs from its victim before it bursts out of the victim, it them hides, sheds its first skin and transforms into its final version as a fully formed Alien

In the films most are stung to immobilise them to prepare them for the face huggers but some appear to be bitten maybe for blood

In nature Vampire bats survive on a tiny sip of blood each night from victims who do not even know the have been bitten which is where the original Vampire legend came from so maybe the Aliens just need some blood to survive without actual food

Just a thought but every Monster in every horror film is based on centuries old legends mixed with current living creatures who do not eat or breed as we do

Tarantula Hawks are the ones that spring to mind, wasps that paralyze and lay their eggs in tarantulas. The zombie parasites are pretty creepy too, take over the hosts brain and suicide the host to continue it's life-cycle elsewhere.

Some of the peripheral characters in Sharknado are exceptional ... Heidi the Hammerhead springs to mind ... makes Jason Statham look a proper **** in the Meg films by comparison ... especially on variety and number of facial expressions and voice pitch ...
