Ford Vs Ferrari 8.2/10
Yeah, it's a decent film, lost points for it's cliched stamping foot on gas. I always hope when I see a racing film they show a bit of the heel and toe footwork, but it's always an extra gear or a foot stamp on gas pedal. It mildly annoys me.

Only the 1st episode out atm but it's excellent. Can see a really good story developing here.

This Town

Stuck it on to see what it was all about. Ended up watching 5/6 episodes.

Excellent stuff and what a soundtrack.

8.5/10

Dont get the hype either, its terrible.
As for its box office.....
I imagine women went to watch it because its Barbie, and pretty much all little girls played with Barbies at some point in the western world. So there was nostalgia bait at work.
And the guys, either they went to watch it with their girlfriends to earn BJ tokens, or if they were single, they went to watch Margot Robbie strolling around in hot pants and bikinis for 2 hours.

Finished 3 body problem at the weekend.

thought it would be a one series deal……oh it’s going to rumble on and on and end up in a Lost style **** show.
Enjoyed it however.

You can see that with those sorts of series a mile off. Guaranteed it gets to about season 3 and gets cancelled.

I've just started the 1st of the 3 books, it's not particularly thick so not sure how big they could make it, and netfix et al seem to do shows for at least 3 seasons before cancelling. They could do what they've done to Foundation and make a series of the exposition, the first season has dealt with the fall of the empire, which takes up about 2 pages of the book and is the best part imo, (mainly because Lee Pace absolutely nails the part of a God Emperor). Sadly the rest of it has been ruined in a typical Apple TV woke fest.

Binned Suits after about 9 episodes. It's not a bad show it's just the one off episode format that doesn't appeal to me. You learn very little about the characters over the time I watched it and noticed that the episode count goes to from 12 - 16 for the remaining seasons which stinks of more of the same to me. Pity really as I like the characters and if the show was a bit more on point with less episodes it could be very good.
