it’s a top end 8 in the Luv scale so you prolly right Brh
It really is eye candy though. The director and Cinematographers use of the New Zealand landscape is excellent. The rest of the film is turgid stuff though especially Cumberbatch who I normally don't mind.

The scenery and Jesse Plemons are the films only redeeming features tbh.

We normally like similar films but have to disagree with you on this one, thought the whole thing was brilliant.

Imho Denzel should win best actor and Don’t look up best picture.

Mind you I haven't seen a few of the films that have been nominated.

Nightmare Alley

Unusual story. Weird and disturbing is about the best I can describe it as. Worth a watch but not one I'd watch again.

Very left field role for Bradley Cooper.

6.5/10

Edit: Forgot to say, it's Guillem Del Toro so I was expecting better.

Need to watch that King Richard

read his book

good ****

Was surprised when I saw that Will Smith had finally been in a good movie again and he was actually amazing in it.

He's been in so much **** over the past few years.

Watching Saving Private Ryan.

Decent backdrop to Covid sitting/work today.

I watched it again. In fact I wanted both my teens to watch the opening D Day landing scene. They were like WTF and I told them veterans said that was the most realistic depiction by any movie ever.

The thing is though, the first time I saw that whole scene just seemed so much more devastating than this time. Maybe cos I didn't know what to expect. Still harrowing though.

Films like Saving Private Ryan, Hacksaw Ridge and Hamburger Hill make you wonder how people can go into battles like that and if they survive remain human

They should be compulsive viewing for anyone who thinks they can think about fighting another war

Tears of the Sun is another harrowing film about the massacres carried out in Ruanda, Bruce Willis actually does a great job playing a platoon leader trying to get some refugees to safety
