It really is eye candy though. The director and Cinematographers use of the New Zealand landscape is excellent. The rest of the film is turgid stuff though especially Cumberbatch who I normally don't mind.it’s a top end 8 in the Luv scale so you prolly right Brh

Watching Saving Private Ryan.
Decent backdrop to Covid sitting/work today.
I watched it again. In fact I wanted both my teens to watch the opening D Day landing scene. They were like WTF and I told them veterans said that was the most realistic depiction by any movie ever.
The thing is though, the first time I saw that whole scene just seemed so much more devastating than this time. Maybe cos I didn't know what to expect. Still harrowing though.
