Do ppl have these, films they'll either stick on or if they see it on telly and want something to chill to will put it on?

The Rock
Step Brothers
Superbad
Cool Runnings
King Arthur
Scarface
The Last Samurai
Gladiator

Plus pretty much any 80s/90s action movie with the likes of JCVD, Seagal, Arnie, Stallone etc.

I'm with you on Scarface but I've seen others say they don't rate it. It's brilliant.

Agree about 80's films - watch those too. I'm more Goonies or Stand By Me or Eddie Murphy films <ok> I can't watch any old Stallone films anymore, even those I loved. Not aged well. Except First Blood or Rocky.

Others are wrong then, mate. Absolute classic.

Could've put Goonies on my list, great film.

80/90s action stuff are my proper sweet spots. Especially when it's getting late, my brain ain't looking for some amazing story with compelling acting, just gimme a mad **** on a quest to **** up as many people as possible and I'm sorted. It's why I've enjoyed the John Wick movies, closest films of this modern era to those old action movies in my opinion.

There's some there I need on my list - Dodgeball, Matrix, MI, Bourne <ok>

Gladiator and Shawshank are excellent and watched both enough, but I have to be in the right frame to watch them. I can't just stick them on, especially Shawshank.

Yes they are both pretty long but if they ever turn up on tv they are staying on.

Oh here's another one that's been turning up quite frequently - face off. Cracking film.

Oh and a bit of running Man by arnie

So anyway... following on from the convo yesterday about 'go to films' when you stick something on you can just enjoy without having to think too much, do you have them? Mine are often

Starship Troopers
Goodfellas
Wolf of Wall Street
Mad Max Fury Road
Tremors

If I feel like an easy comedy
Anchorman
Pineapple Express
Groundhog Day
