I just know for a fact that if it didn't go that way on Sunday, a LOT of mackems would have wanted him to go.

All I'm saying is that in the final day there was a very fine line. Just the slightest change in how the results went would have turned a lot of the current Bruce lovers into Bruce haters.

I'd still like him to go mate. I think you're right, I think it's calmed us down but I don't think it's won anyone over.

I never shouted for bruce out, nor do i want mon.

Never wavered. Things need sorting with SB re tactics, injuries etc but still the man for at least another season.

Pre january (SB's team) we played the best football for a decade.

Ok this isn't a dig and i think it's a valid question, so don't committ a knee jerk reaction and please read what i have to say, then i'll **** off

You finished on 47 points and in 10th place, that's a fact. You all came to the conclusion that this is progress from last season and you achieved your goal of a top 10 finish, and Bruce shouldn't be sacked.

However, if you had lost against West Ham on sunday, a team who was already relegated, you'd have finished on 44 points and in 15th.

"What ifs" make life interesting....

If Sunderland had beaten Blackpool at Xmas time - a game where we had 30+ proper chances, we would have ended in 8th place....

And 'if' the Toon had not had the 4 points gifted to them by inept Sunderland displays, then the toon's last game would have been 'interesting eh?



But that's all in the past, time to move on ....
