Just to pick up on the Rooney point and throw some maths into the mix for UIR's benefit, here's what £25.6m would be worth in 2011:

Meaning that, in 2012, factoring in another 3.3% inflation, Rooney would cost £33.9m.
But I suppose £33.9m and £35.5m are miles apart, aren't they, UIR? I may as well be comparing £1m to £1bn, hadn't I?
(The last line was sarcastic, by the way.)

De Gea already a European champion? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Athletico Madrid won the UEFA Cup in the last five years not the Champions League, and Phil Jones was playing for botton three Blackburn and Ashley Young was playing for mid-table Aston Villa. These are the facts, no matter what way you sugar coat it. Since 2010 Manchester United have not signed top players, the so called players Rooney requested.

Hmmm.... so winning the europa league doesnt make you a european champion........ right...... <ok>

Dont need links, that was our maximum bid, hence the fact SP and his agent tried to get the money clubs involved. United made a maximum offer. Couldnt give a flying **** if you believe it over some rags....... the same rags who enjoy calling your club scum and such on a regular basis.

Your first point just makes you look a cock, i didnt quote it I linked it. Well done. Its still the daily mail and its still bullshit.

The reason you can't produce links is because they don't exist. Otherwise you'd have done it by now and be rubbing my face in it.
So I'll just take your word for it? Ok, I believe you have better placed sources than the British press, UIR.
I notice you still haven't commented on the Telegraph link.

If it aint on RedCafe,MUFCtv or coming out of Fergie's gob it aint true.<whistle>

Yeh....

except the links to redcafe merely point people to the discussion where further links can be found and information that is a little more reliable considering almost all of it turns out to be correct.

Like for example, the Chevrolet deal, everyone was saying its 25million and some ****, random made up figures. I said it was $600million, my source was a Reuters link on redcafe.

Guess which turned out to be correct, go on, have a guess :D

I feel like you think redcafe is like RAWK, trust me, its far from.

Oh dear.....

2004 - time of economic growth
2012 - time of recession and failing economies

The value of the currency was also different but lets not let those small matters get in the way of good old fashioned bullshit.

Your bid was 38M euro's. he went to PSG for 45M Euros

Fergie - "football gone mad"

Think it is clear who is going mad.

Pretty sure the original links to both were the Mirror story which was proven to be bullshit by the fact they changed it 3 times in 16 hours.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/7960826/No-City-contact-over-Moura

and there, your face is well and truly rubbed in it...

second paragraph if you are lost. E32million euros (£25million) though to be tabled by United.

The lengths you're going to in order to justify your (wrong) claim are ridiculous.
Fact is, £25.6m in 2004 is £33.9m in 2012. Paint it in any context you like; those are the bare figures.
If you think PSG's owners are affected by the recession, you're kidding yourself. These are guys who have billions to burn, clearly. Look how much they've spent this summer.

Really what difference does i make. I'm not sure why you're all getting so touchy <whistle>

Comparing Rooney who already had EPL experience and was coming off the back of a quality International football tournement to a young guy moving to another continent and who isn't currently getting in the olympic team makes me this you are clutching at straws.

I'm not saying Lucas won't be really good as he could may be but Rooney had already proven himself in the league he was being transferred in <ok>

Yeah, but Ferguson's comments were based on 'a 19 year old'. He didn't specify experience.

Alex 'I wouldn't sell them a virus but I will sell them C.Ronaldo' Ferguson a hypocrite...? Never! <doh>

Terrif having **** all to say as usual so a poor attempt to belittle me as per.... check <ok>
I clearly stated that fergie is a hypocrite, how much clearer does it need to be for you?

I was not having a go at you, merely pointing out the general consensus on the matter.

If I am making my self look like an idiot I dont want to know what I make you lot look like far to often, doesnt bare thinking about.

<doh> Silly me I missed one of the usuals of my list, UIR claiming that he has always made people look stupid in the past. As usual without evidence and has about as much credence as his claim that Fergie is not a hypocrite on this matter.

Anyway, off ground to watch our match (this means going to the ground not watching on sky) Yes I know its not the greatest comp but hey ho that is what real fans do.

Yeah, but Ferguson's comments were based on 'a 19 year old'. He didn't specify experience.

Does he have to ? The circumstance around the two said 19 year olds are comletely different. Would you like SAF to talk more and justify all his comments ?

I doubt any LFC fan wants to hear SAF talk more <laugh>

So no one has come to an agreement yet? Thought not, carry on then.

United where prepared to pay £38M euros the sale price was £45m. So not a lot of difference, eh?

With regards to Rooney, sure he had a good start to his man u career. but it appears he has peaked, he looks overweight and tired. He is a very good flat track bully, but as we seen this summer, he can't really deliver on the big stage. So on that basis, you overpaid, big time.
