The only other city to have 2 clubs, apart from the brief time they had 2 clubs in London playing in front of 2 men and a dog, is Leeds. Leeds are the only city to have two teams to win the challenge cup at
Wembley. Also the 54,000 crowd for Leeds v Hunslet played at Elland Road is the biggest for a game which was not a challenge cup final or a Grand Final. And double the highest crowd for a Hull v Rovers game in Hull. Which was also played at the local football ground.

Wigan v St Helens was a 24,000 sell out with thousands more wanting tickets.

Apparently the capital of rugby is Hull.

The capital of rugby is leicester.

That's the world capital of rugby as well.

No one gives half a **** about rugby league, I can't even understand why it exists. ****ing **** abomination of a half decent sport.

Says it all about the spanners that actually pay to watch that ****e.

And they even have the gall to claim that 'puffball' (as they so eloquently call it) is soft?

<laugh>

A game of bowls is more dangerous than the tag rugby code of rugby you Northern fannies play.

Agreed, it was terrible game really, neither team were great although Rovers fully deserved the victory for the first half performance.

Rovers won it in the first and coasted it second half. Playing again on Monday they left some in the tank, if they had continued to play in the second they would have gained a bigger victory and hastened Radford's sacking. He needs time to relegate FC into the championship.

In a word, yes.

A championship club (who operate on much smaller budgets and are often semi-pro) would have to out-compete at least one of the four super league clubs in a 7 game mini-league to get promoted.

Its possible but very unlikely, it gives the appearance of promotion/relegation but I'd be very surprised if any team goes up or down.

Not strictly true. A number of top championship clubs are now full time, being funded by increased sky money prior to the 2015 season.

We're trying to stop him making a complete **** of himself, you should try being as compassionate as the rest of us.

Compassionate about what?

You seriously think you're compassionate?

<laugh>

Unless you mean passionate, and even that is the wrong word, you mean blinkered. And angry. Self obsessed works too.

No, ta, I'll stick to keeping my mind expanded and not closed ta.

Stoping a senile old man from making a fool of himself is a compassionate thing to do.

I'll get you a dictionary for Christmas.

Unlikely in the extreme I know, but if the Allams dropped the name change tomorrow, how would the trust represent fans on issues if the club won't work with them?

Would it become a series of protests, or would the trust look to ways of building bridges between fans and the club?

If he doesn't drop the name change, is the trust in a position where it needs to create a regime change? In which case, how does it plan to show its value to any potential new owner?

I think the challenge cup games over the next few weeks will give us a better indication of whether anyone will come up or not, but I think leigh could well be playing Super League next year.

It's a shame but I don't think radders has got long left now.
It's not really a shame, he obviously has no answers to the problems so he has to go, but Pearson has apparently stated that he won't be sacked.

FC were unbelievably poor against Rervers, however Chris Chester seems to be doing a great job for the Robins, looks like a case of Adam getting his appointments wrong again.

I agree about Leicester. But we were discussing the insular, smaller world of RL.

Is it only in Hull that numbnuts take pleasure from the potential demise of one of their own sports teams?

You could fold both your TRL teams and they could create one very strong proper Rugby (RU) team, and you'd be laughing.

I'd be surprised if anyone doesn't want both FC and KR to go under.

Probably. I used to work in Leeds back in the Revie days and the rugby fans didn't wish for Leeds United to fail.
Neither did Leeds rugby fans support football teams from another city.
Elsewhere you don't see people in Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Bolton, Burnley etc writing in the local paper about how they hope the local team fails and how crap they are. Neither do you see the amount of people in those places with the shirts of other clubs as you do in Hull.
