Everyone loves a board game. especially around Christmas time.

For me it has to be Monopoly (the old classic London one), I'm not interested in the various differing City versions, the Beirut one is simply awful.

A close second would have to be Scrabble.

You can't beat the classics.

Without googling what city was the first Monopoly based on?
 
Great game as long as we stick to words with dictionary definitions only, heard the rules had been changed to allow names, etc. Probably some Polish people named KGYRRZT which must be worth a few points.
Yeah and don't agree with checking words before you play though in the rules,no checking and hard luck if not there.

Haven't played for years but you can take a chance on a word then it's up to an opponent to challenge it and I guess risk losing points. All part of the fun. If you offered me the choice between a game of Scrabble and a soapy tit-**** from Katy Perry, it'd be Scrabble every time.
