Lots get killed by boats etc.
I just remember seeing a doc about them years ago, motor engine blades cut them up bad, jetski's etc.I know they do, it's because people don't obey the NO wake signs as well.

I think my favourite creature that I've personally seen in the wild is the Manatee (nicknamed the sea pig). You will find them around the warm waters of the Keys, and in the Mangroves, totally vegetarian to my knowledge, and are happy as a pig in **** if you give them a whole lettuce. I believe they used to be a protected species but they may have lost that status now. I'm sure it was illegal to swim with them and to give them fresh water from a hose, which they loved! Very tame creatures that can stay underwater for a considerable time before having to come up for air. In fact the first give away sign of them, was normally air bubbles on the surface of calm water. The sad part is as I found out in the states, half the Americans don't even know what they are! Hence because of that they get maimed by boat propellers, because sometimes they will float just under the surface of the water.

The squirrel ran past the first tree then as the cat got close backflipped into the lower branches whilst still running, the cat stopped dead, looked around like "where'd it go, where the **** did it go?". it sniffed around a bit then sulked off totally embarrassed.
