Jobbo and Payton, if we had these two in their prime in the team next season we would go up 100percent

Theo Whitmore when I first started going to Boothferry, but then I fell for Sir Stuart Elliott.

My Granddad always said that a bloke called "Dally" Duncan was the best player City ever had. In my time Raich Carter was the obvious choice but he was in the winter of his career when he came to us. One couldn't go past Viggo Jensen who (believe it or not) was officially not paid by the Club for over a season (through some regulations or whatever) but this didn't deter Viggo who opened a stall outside Boothferry Park on match days selling his own brand of sausages to make a quid. I served him at Burtons when he came in for a suit and he gave me half a crown tip - I thought all my Xmas' had come at once.

Billy Askew for me. Named my pet ferret after him when I was younger (the other being "Stan" McEwan).

Ash, Whittle(who I happened to bump into at my local Chinese take-away on Saturday, lovely bloke), Elliot, Barmby, Deano, Whitmore.

Bremner was still good when he came to us, his début against Forest was one of the best atmosphere's I can remember at Boothferry Park, it was packed.

In fact, a player's a bit too difficult. Can I have a team (and bench)?

Fettis, Graham, Ricketts, Whittle, Goodison, Mann, Whitmore, Elliott, Ashbee, Deano, Barmby

Subs: Dewhirst, Brabin, Jenkinson, Peacock, Dawson, Darby, Wilson

    Manager: Joyce

Billy Elliott, with a special mention for JJ Okocha for being ridiculously more skilful than any other player to have played for us

Can't say I remember Billy Elliott dancing down the wing! You sure JJ was more skillful than Colin Alcide?

Whittle for me, true leader, blood and guts centre half who could play a bit, and a top bloke if you meet him.

Following on from him I used to love seeing Payton play as with Elliott, you always felt something could happen (positive) when they where on the pitch

Deano was always good for a laugh and passionate, spoilt himself by slightly in this final season, whinged about not been picked in the prem when King, Cousin and Geo where doing a decent job in his piece in the daily mail

for getting angry or frustrated it has to be Junior Lewis or Marney, you could shout at them all day long without ever getting bored!
