I have been at games where people were still eating 20minutes into the half. One lass, about the size of Hattie Jacques but only about 18 put one bucket of food down after 15 minutes and got another one out from underneath her seat.<laugh>

One lass, that's really representative of the whole stadium.

Pies and the like have always been taken into the stand? And we’re now at the point where clubs are trialling beer in the stands again. It’s personal choice.
Of course its peoples choice, but I would say that it quietens the atmosphere to some extent.

No one can clap when they're holding a bloody great bucket full of food and no one can sing when they're stuffing their faces.

That's surely a FACT.

She wasn’t the only one, there people stuffing their faces long after kick off but she was the only one to take out a second bucket. Last home game I went in a different area of Lower West and ended up sat near someone off this forum. He said there will be two lasses arriving on this row 10 minutes in with boxes of food, they will spend the first half eating and then looking at their phones get up before half time and come back late into second half with more food and leave 10 inures before full time. And sure enough they di They have paid their money but what is the point. Fortress MKM.:emoticon-0140-rofl:

Of course Lower West is where you'd expect lots of atmosphere it it wasn't for all that bloody food

I agree with that. I think it’s way down the list on the biggest factors however

A bucket?

Bit different at our owner’s other club. No one streaming in after kick off. Not a pie in sight. Wonder which is the better atmosphere?

I'm not debating that's a better atmosphere but it has nothing to do with the food being served

Maybe not. But the point is those fans in Turkey’s focus is on backing the team not eating and sitting down like they are in a theatre.Isn’t going to change unfortunately.

Nothing to do with the food but an awful lot to do with seating
