Maybe so, but it's those kind of comments that derails a perfectly good thread. If Ipswich supporters are unable to act their age then maybe just stick to your own board and let the adults talk. Before you all lay into Welly with all this fake indignation let me just add that Welly is a brilliant poster with a wicked sense of irony and reading his post made me genuinely chuckle. Us Ipswich posters to a man knows how Welly operates on here and he adds a huge amount to the debate.
Classic Welly but for those that don't know him his comment would have sailed right over your heads!
Ox stop sucking up to the blues you embarrassment of a yellow where do you live rar rar rar rar rar![]()
Mings had a good game I thought. Smith yet again is an accident waiting to happen.
I thought both Chambers and Mings edged their respective duels with Johnson and Redmond!
Yes but surprised how ineffective the Ipswich strikers were when faced with our accident prone back four
Eh? It wasn't a criticism. I was saying it was cleverly done.Cmon Rob, that is poor form....all,pitches are watered before and during H/T, it makes for a better passing game, did not pass the ball more than 3 times
It's not our fault you felt you did not have the passing game to get through us is it!
McCarthy I say.Eh? It wasn't a criticism. I was saying it was cleverly done.
The pitch was definitely heavily watered - did you see the number of players who slipped all over the place? The ball was also not rolling smoothly. Are you serious?
The whole point of home advantage is it allows you to tailor the pitch to your advantage. There was nothing cheating about it, it was neatly done. I was impressed because it was a clever ploy to stop our style and superior quality of player. I would commend it and expect us to be doing the same at home by making the ground best suited to us. And if we came up against a more expensive, technically proficient side, I would also expect our groundsman to try to make it as difficult as possible for the opposition to take away their edge.
I don't think there is an dispute that our players, on paper, are better than yours (is there?) That means McCarthy has to use every trick in his book to get your guys playing as a better team than ours. This was one way. It worked.McCarthy I say.
