I don't have ESPN so couldn't see the incident but from what i've heard i am really concerned, hope the lad is alright, and i really, really hope it's not fatal.

Personally, I think he sadly died on the pitch. It looked to me as though he was having ' Agonal Gasps' which is an involountry reflex after a sudden fatal heart attack. I hope I'm wrong but were taught that as part of our trauma care training.

Heart attack? He's only 23. I really hope he survives. Come on Fabrice.

Puts everything into perspective.

Despite what Shanks said, there are more important things than football.

I feel numb.

If it were me I'd call all the FA Cup games off (at least).

I fear the worst but hope the for best

Dreadful but no different than all the other people that died in the last hour
It shocks you death ? We have seen plenty at football ... My mate died next to me on the pitch in a Sussex semi final ... Hole in the heart

Judging by the way Tuncay was praying I think he may have passed away. Hopefully they leave him in peace and do not attempt to bring him back to a poor quality of life.

Thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Sickening. Don't know what to say.

Considering what you write nines this does look grim.

I hope I'm wrong, but as soon as I saw him I knew it was bad. A really sad and tragic day for the football family.
I've got to leave for my night shift, hopefully I'll get back on here later if I have a quiet night. Hopefully with good news.

With all due respect I don't think you can subjugate the seriousness of the situation by using other examples.

It's a terrible thing for millions of people to have to see. It happens all the time but when you have to see it happen to a professional footballer in front of a large worldwide audience it really brings it home.

Try saying what you have said to a Spurs player or worse a Bolton player (or manager).

Reports (unreliable) are saying the ambulance have got him breathing again. I just hope these reports are accurate
