These people have no idea of the agony that they are putting us through. I haven't slept properly for the last 10 days. Football is not a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that.
Call me a cynic, but I think that there MIGHT be a deal being done here. We get docked a sufficient number of points to drop us to 2nd (after Saturdays games), thereby getting us promoted but losing out on the title of Champions, the deal being that we don't appeal. That way the FA can say that they acted on any wrongdoing (IF ANY) and we still go up. Catch my drift?
That's 'cos they haven't finished hearing all the evidence yet. Speculation is going all over the place (but tbh largely in our favour). It seems that in bringing the charges against us, the FA have produced little more than circumstantial evidence at best. The fact is, few professional observers know much more than we do about the FA's criteria, powers or sanctions in this area. I'm not saying that they are, but the FA could be accused of making up things like fines and points deductions as they go along. I've had some lay experience at matters legal, regulatory and tribunal levels and it is standard that all parties understand what's at stake before proceedings get under way. If anything untoward comes out of this I just cannot see how the R's reps can avoid lodging an appeal. But, then again, the FA has by design or incompetence, thrown up a such a veil over their criteria that no one has a clue what's going on. Agony for the team and us innit? I just hope upon hope that Rs fans don't riot on Saturday (strange as that may sound coming from a Brixtonian!) 'cos that would really hand the FA the moral high ground and further ammo to fire at the club. Trophy or no, let's just beat Leeds as our final word this season and do what Sir Neil asks: party big time but cool to celebrate our footballing prowess on Saturday afternoon. There's a lot to be said for us using our brains and keeping our powder dry for any appeal that may yet need to be lodged.
I don't think that the Football Association would be daft enough to even contemplate deducting any points from QPR before the end of the season. I think the fact that the decion has been delayed means that fingers crossed it will be good news for QPR and their fans. sambaldockrules
I know monkey, we'll all end up looking like relics from the natural history museum - with bits missing!!
It could be for the fact that If they do take off point then there will be fights on saturday, so there waiting until monday. I hope this isnt the answer, but You never know. D:
I'm just visiting your board to find out how you QPR fans are bearing up you are in a terrible situation, it's dreadful for the fans and you don't deserve it. That said, I find it quite astonishing how a Professional body such as the FA has handled this situation, they have taken too long to conclude this matter. You are left in limbo as are the teams in close enough proximity to be involved in the playoffs. You are the best team in the Championship and as pointed out Norwich won't want the title by default, but as long as you get automatic promotion that is the main thing. I wish you good luck and hope the FA can see fit to end this fiasco this weekend, onwards and hopefully upwards QPR.
