Most enjoyable televised game for a while today, held the interest for 2 hrs right until the end. Contrast in styles and club identities, and the result was in the balance till the very last kick.

Classic English Cup tie atmosphere and style of play. Well played.

Hull City as a club could learn a lot from Millwall about identity, community involvement and unity.

Shame. You missed a plastic club being beaten by a club from a similar sized city to Hull in front of a vociferous, enthusiastic crowd. Everyone behind one goal stood up all game, blokes even older than me jumping up and down, people down the sides stood up as well. Staying behind after the game to celebrate. Things I wish we could see at the KCOM. Doubt if tbere were kids applauding Man Utd off the bus and asking their players to give them a wave either.

Sadly it is the world wide viewers, not of the FA Cup, but the prem who have rendered the fans irrelevant. (Sure I have heard that word before, it will come to me).

Every place finish higher, pays more than winning the cup. Its sole purpose for most prem clubs is to give the habitual bench warmers, youth and ner do wells a run out.

The prospect of a day out at Wembley for the fans probably brings the bean counters out in a cold sweat.

Isn’t it funny that what’s now essentially a reserve competition presents the most expensive fixtures for fans to attend in English football.

It was City Man who mentioned the world wide fans not wanting the lesser clubs in the semis.
Of course it wasn't that many years ago that the only people who saw a
Cup semi-final live were the ones at the game. It may be of reduced importance in the eyes of some clubs but the FA Cup will sell out no matter the size of the club that gets there. 3 of the clubs will get less tickets than the average size of their crowds this season. Ones that get more than their average, like we did, still have many complaining that they can't get a ticket.

That said I loved our semi against Sheff Utd being at Wembley, remember beating a bigger club, Sunderland, to get there then hearing we'd got Sheff Utd in the draw and knowing the Final was on. Cup Fever.

Parking up for the game against Sunderland I listened to the team news. Before a ball was kicked Sunderland didn't want it. Their fans were rightly pissed off.

Cup fever? Yes, seeing City in the (THE) cup final was a great day.

A great shame the money men have wrested those days from the fans. Though all credit to Wolves for going for it.

They always sold out before Wembley. Now a larger number of tickets are difficult to shift for teams oop north as our crap public transport system apart from being horrifically expensive e means you can't get there and back by train. Then, if you win you have the expense all over again. Though some who complain about the cost of tickets for their home games find the money to travel down to London, pay for far more expensive tickets and stay in a hotel.
