FA Cup Weekend

Wow, the ref has just given Spurs a get out of jail card with that call. Terrible decision.

<laugh> He wasn't even looking at the ball, he was turning around and the momentum of his arm meant that his hand touched the ball.

You got lucky, big time.
Nonsense. It's a clear handball. His arm's in an unnatural position and he prevents Rose from getting the ball.
No idea how the ref gives it, to be honest, as he can't see the ball. He was right, though.

Blinkered, but to be expected I suppose.

A draw doesn't really suit either side though, they will be sick of the sight of each other in a couple of weeks. I'd rather have seen Spurs get dumped out tonight, but a replay and a tough tie at Leicester is acceptable :)

We stay in the cup and it pisses you off...win win in my book <laugh>

I think it was a very harsh decision but glad we are still in the cup

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to have seen you lose of course, but a draw and a replay is a game you don't really want, so that's okay too.

Glad at least one of you Spuds can see that it was a very harsh decision though. <ok>

Yeah, poor old Piskie. Sitting there salivating, pulling his sausage, all his little wums stored up....and then that nasty old referee gives Spurs a penalty...sausage shrinks, wums no use!!....<wah>

Don't just take my word for it, even your fellow spuds agree it was a very harsh decision.
Harsh doesn't mean wrong.
I'd just like to know how he came to his decision. He clearly couldn't see it. Telepathy, perhaps? Dyer knew he handballed it....

Wrong on both counts then. Not intentional and the ref didn't clearly see it.

It's intentional. I've no idea why everyone's ignoring the interpretation that the refs use for this.
His arm's in an unnatural position and blocks the ball. That's "intentional" for the sake of the rules, even if you don't think that he meant it.
Given that he looked right at the bloody thing as his arm came across, I'm not sure how relevant it is, though.

The ref doesn't have to see something happen to give a decision, either.
His assistants could've given him the call or he could've noted the arm movement and the way that the ball reacted, though that's a bit dodgy.

<laugh> Wow.

It's intentional even though he didn't mean it.
