And now Eastleigh have beat Reading, that draw is even more annoying.

10 years next year since we were in the final, 10 years is long enough we need another cup final, all aboard the road back to Wembley, why not? que sera sera.
We haven't won a Cup game under Rosenior, I hope it isn't an indication of a lack of care for the cups from him. After all, he more than most should recognise the potential of a Cup run..
Personally couldn't care less about them. If we had a squad capable of going far and having a shot at winning it like we had 10 years ago then absolutely, but Syd, for someone so supportive of LR I'm surprised you've chosen that particular stick to beat him with
What stick am I beating him with? A mild 'I hope this isn't an indication of something' surely isn't what you're referring to?
If you really wanted a 'gotcha' with me and my support of Rosenior, surely my repeated mocking of his comment about wanting to sign robust players when it comes to Vinagre would be a better place to start.
You also don't need to win the whole thing to have a memorable Cup run.
Perhaps I lack a sense of romance, but we fall slap bang in the middle of the category of clubs for which it's a bit of an inconvenience. Unlikely to win it and we don't need the money, which isn't a massive amount anyway. And as a fan I've seen us play, and sometimes match the "big boys" fairly recently so not interested in that either.What stick am I beating him with? Of course you should try and win every game, but privately I don't think LR or the players would say no to a week off at the end of January, with Southampton likely to get through from their draw

Totally disagree with this view. FA Cup 3rd round day, to old crusties like me, is still one of the biggest days of the football season. Alongside the first home game and the Boxing Day fixture. It has been devauled over the years, admittidly, but I'd take a good cup run or better still another appearance in the Final then another season in the Premier League any day of the week.
As for the players not saying no to another week off in January, the players get more than enough week ends off with the totally unecessary international breaks we now have forced upon us.
For me, 1st Saturday in January will always be FA Cup 3rd day and one to look forward to. There were many years when Hull City didn't feature in it, remember that too.
The suggestion that the FA Cup is unimportant because City won’t win it, do those same people stop attending league matches in February when it’s obvious we won’t win the league? It’s a bizarre argument.

If we put Birmingham to the sword there's a half chance of a decent away game against one of the big boys...That appeals to me!
Anyway,talking of January,are you dragging yourself away from Tickton for a trip North to Sunderland on the 20th(if the fixture remains as is,ie:- A Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m)...
There's other things to play for in the league than just winning it though. For me I'm just happy to avoid relegation every year and enjoy the end of season games, if/when we've achieved that target.
