Why have they got to replay it when Barnsley were just knocked straight out?

    2 minutes on google:

Barnsley broke rule 103, they fielded a completely ineligible player. That is very black and white.

Forest green broke rule 109, which looks to be an issue regarding the permission of a parent club to field a loan player.

There are an infinite amount of possibilities there really and blame for whatever caused the issue could be equally shared between any combination of FGR, the parent club or the FA themselves. Impossible to speculate without any details.

Hull City’s Emirates FA Cup third round tie at home to Birmingham City will take place on Saturday 6 January, kick-off 3pm.

The Tigers ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at St Andrew’s when the sides met in the league in October, courtesy of goals from England Under-21 internationals Liam Delap and Jaden Philogene.

Blues prevailed by the same scoreline at the MKM Stadium last season and in the only FA Cup encounter between the clubs back in January 1955 at Boothferry Park.

The second-city outfit, under the stewardship of Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney, are 17th in the Sky Bet Championship with 26 points from 21 matches.
