Off topic I know (apologies) but the son of my old manager (whio is still a friend) where I worked previously was a school friend of my son. He was brilliant at maths - better than the teacher. He ended up going to Cambridge and absolutely nailed it there. He was headhunted to work on the Particle Accelerator in Switzerland (established professors actually APPLIED to work on it).
He’s been offered loads of 6-7 figure salary jobs - mainly by gaming companies, but he’s not interested in money - he’s gone back to Cambridge as a lecturer. He just absolutely loves study.
My mum is a professor and lecturer. Absolutely no common sense at all. We all shake our heads at some of things she says and wonder is her brain just overloaded

My family are full of academics - mum and dad were teachers with degrees - Mrs R&W has 3 degrees including a masters. All my kids have degrees.
I’m the thick one of the family - yet I’m earning the most and direct things behind the scenes (the wife and kids think she is in charge - which she is for domestic things - but when it comes to serious high value matters I’m the godfather!!)
I control things from the back seat and let everyone think the wife is in charge

I’m not so sure the away end will if it’s on a Weds 7.45, allowing for poss ET and pens that’s a late finish to then have to get back to Manchester, it’s not like we’re a big tie for them.
I highly doubt they'll sell out. The season Leicester won the league, City were 5 points behind them with a game in hand. We played them at Sunderland during the week and they barely sold a thousand tickets.

£40 a ticket for me, can live with that. What pisses me off is I can’t use my granddaughters ST for a friend. She won’t be able to go with it being a school night and could potentially go past 10:30 plus then travel to get back home.
I bet they sell her seat to an adult anyway so why not give me the choice?

Get your wedge out people -well done the club getting a decent price for a decent game.
So many complaints on the net -don’t go watch it on tv it will sellout irrespective.

£44 is a bit steep though, although I'm not complaining as I have to spend about £50 just to watch Bristol Bears.

I'll be sat in a nice, comfy armchair watching it on ITV with a soothing pint of Stella and a shot of malt, not a bit of guilt on my conscience, cheers.
