Vest cost us twice arguably, awful positioning. I find his constant lack of showing any desire to correct his careless mistakes more infuriating than anything though.

We played so well for so much of the game.

If we can match the Liverpool first half performance, and the majority of today's, we'll be doing pretty well by the end of the season.

Meanwhile that penalty - how can it be a penalty if the GK makes no attempt to bring a man down but Son decides to dangle his leg there for far longer than is a natural running action :(

Despite the disappointment, I just can’t help getting out my old sandals.
Whisper it quietly, but we looked like the old Saints for the first 3/4 of that match- and by old, I mean Pochettino/Koeman standard. One touch, high pressing, pass-and-then-move-to-get-the-return-ball kind of good. For me, that was one of the performances of the season.

Not trying to over egg a bit of positivity, but we are a good side now.

Seen it 5 times and form the camera angles I cant see an contact on Son. Not saying there wasnt, but its not visible from what they showed on the stream.

Gutted tbh.

But awesome goal by Ings and set up from Redmond. Applauded at home on my own :D
