Found the second half fairly embarrassing too. They never needed to get out of second gear and don’t think we had a shot on target apart from the goal. Was a poor view but looked like one great chance with fifteen to go that someone fluffed.

The wind totally died at half time too.

Perhaps that chance was the toe poke from Eze well saved by their Keeper down to his left. The poke wasn't quite hard enough. Having set us up so well many games I don't think MW will be happy with his selections yesterday. Electing to play into the wind if we did, was a big mistake, and we have looked so much better with Kelly in goal, and Angel or Cameron, and Wallace as the backs. Masterson was good enough to start instead of BFG. Hugill was probably a better bet up front than Wells. Also it looked to me like BOS had been told to hold and turn inside yesterday rather than attack down the wings, until we were 3 down and well into the 2nd half. Either that or BOS wasn't up for it.

He keeps being played out of position.

I’m not sure he is really. Brentford did a job on him and the other players weren’t capable of taking advantage of the space that offered elsewhere. Fitting him and Chair into the same is awkward at times. I’d rather have them switching more but Warburton got caught somewhere between keeping a rigid formation defensively and getting a team out that could hurt Brentford. In the end he did neither.

Still think we tend to look better with Hugill, particularly away.

We're saying the same thing.
If he and Chair are to play together, Warburton either changes to 3 at the back or gets them to be much more fluid as part of a three behind the striker.
Since being started on the left, Eze has rarely moved away from there and his form has dipped.
Where would the opposition least like him to be?
It's hard to double up on a player who is part of a fluid formation and who isn't tied to a rigid position.
Eze looks pissed off and I don't blame him.
