Just seen on Facebook that it is apparently a done deal via a reliable source 15mil + Amos + add ons +Jack Clarke on loan. I never really believe this stuff but it's out there?
Fantastic thanks danish. There isnt much I miss about working and living in the UK. In fact being able to go racing and to Rangers is about it. How are things with you?
According to my pal the the club, he believes Eze will be off, Warburton cant do much about him going but wanted him loaned straight back and Spurs have said no initially....
It was inevitable. Key thing is to get a good deal and show some backbone as a club when making deals. Hope they put an add-on clause too (though he isn’t any Sterling that’s for sure). Hope this means we can source some decent defenders!!!
So much for bringing young talent to the first team only to sell a season later? We will never move forward because we will always sell our better players. I think TF was talking more crap.
Might this be a good time to remind everyone that we are operating at a loss? The club has significantly lost revenue over the last few years due to parachute payments falling and FFP fines being implemented. The club has run at a loss for the last 20 years, I cant think of any other type of business that would still be going. Sponsors must be hard to attract and our gates are down. Bottom line is that this money will simply plug a hole in the leak. I dont expect Warburton to see more than a fraction of this money.
Isn't Clarke the lad they got from massive and loaned him straight back to them and he's hardly played this season despite being triffic for Massive last season...... If we can get Eze back on loan plus bank 15m and bag amos that wouldn't be a bad deal plus 20% sell on clause.....
1. They don't want Amos or this Clarke geezer, 2. They want Eze. 3. We might want Amos. 4. Clarke geezer is a risk because he might be a square peg in MW round hole. 5. Levy is trying to save money. 6. Levy knows that we are gullable and borasic. 1-6 means tell him to **** off and come back with a serious offer for a future England player or buy Jack Grealish instead for £100 million!
You watch we will lose another top player for peanuts.... only at QPR. We must have ‘mugs’ tattooed on our head. Any other club wouldn’t be as stupid.
Nice to see the calm considered views expressed rather than the usual over the top negativity that we're used to
Maybe we ought to be a tad annoyed at letting young furlong go as he's having a cracking season at baggies.....he should have been a regular centre half for us instead......hey ho!!!!!
Totally agree. What has got my goat was TF’s comments about bringing in young, hungry players and creating a winning team rather than spend loads of dosh on wasters like Park/Ferdinand/bosw@nker. However as some as we get this good young team of players he does the same thing by cashing in on them bring us back to square one. We will never get anywhere if we keep selling our best players.
At this point of time, we have to sell our young players to stay within FFP. Three years ago we made a loss of £20 million, we are only allowed £33 million in 3 seasons. When that loss/season falls of the "calculation", i.e. at the end of this season, we will be in a lot healthier position. We can only sell what people want to buy...Hence Furlong, Smithies and Furlong going. So say good bye to Eze, either next month or in July
As a fan base we'll have to get used to this as it's the only way the club can survive due to ffp constraints and a ground that isn't fit for purpose other 23 home games a season...... At least now we have some home grown talent that are on long contracts that premier league sides are beginning to take note and are interested in buying......we've not been in this position for years..... A mid table finish and getting 15 - 20m for Eze would constitute a successful season.....next year chair should be attracting interest if he continues developing...... It's the only way we can operate at the moment.......it pains me to say it but we need to be operating in the same way as Brentford have for the last number of years......
It's inevitable. He's going to play in the Premier League at some stage. Our finance dictate that we have no other course of action and who can blame him for going to somewhere like Spurs and Jose? I believe that he'll look so much better still with really good players all around him.
