Did you see that Gordon/Joey thought we'd walk the league? Well done to him.

    Wow! All come true..

We need to sign a forward - Lee & Sharpe
We need a new CB - Hooiveld
We need another winger - De Ridder (and Puncheon?)

We believe, so do the players

The only thing missing is the "we are going up chant"...though too nervous for that yet!

Yep, fair play, but he wasn't quite as accurate as me.

We have the official kiss of death from Robbie Savage..! [3mins and 40secs in to video]

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17548430

Yes, after weeks of saying Saints would blow up, then saying they might sneak promotion, now he is saying it's all there for Saints and Reading, and WHU are going to blow it. Now, I'm not that big a critic of Savage, because really he's there for a bit of fun, amongst the chit-chat, but really... dear, oh dear. I'm not sure how he can write off WHU when they are a mere one point behind Reading, with a one goal superior GD, and with an easier run-in, in the sense that Reading have 3 Home games and 4 Away, with none of them 'givens'. WHU have 4 Homes and 3 Aways, and crucially, their first up is against Reading. Win that, and they turn the tables, probably making Savage reprise his video with a slight adjustment.

Plenty of twists and turns left. Saints status in in their own hands, so equal focus is on how much destruction will Reading and WHU do to themselves as they trip up along the way, while chasing us to the winning tape.

Thinks he's right though...they are unlikely to win the string of games necessary to jump over us and Reading. I'm sure Saints ad Reading will get more out of the next 7 games than the Hammers will. West Ham may jump a place at some point but at the end of the season I think they will be third. The best thing for us is if Reading beat the Hammers on Saturday and give us even more wriggle room in ensuring automatic promotion.

I think, having seen his chuckle shortly after he said it, the McClaren reference was a joke? I bloody hope so anyway!

As for the talk on big Sam, I thought he had a fair point in fairness. West Ham haven't played the 'West Ham' way for years. And yes, it will be a big shock with the amount the owners have thrown at the club for them not to be promoted, but he's not done a terrible job has he? Up there for all of the season, just come unstuck a bit recently (and in that time they still haven't lost - very similar to Hudders last year though, unbeaten but too many draws).

I think Sam gets a bit too much stick sometimes. If he gets them up, and he's still got a very good chance of doing so, who's going to care how they've done it? If style of play is that big an issue they can get rid of him next season.
