Quality through and through - as a player and as a man.
I met and was lucky enough to speak with him a few times on away trips (when you used to share the train carriages with the players!) and he was just an impressive human being. I was just a star-struck teenager, but he made time and was happy to talk about the match and the game in general. (To be fair, I can't remember any of the lads of the 71-74 era who didn't happily engage with the fans)
The recovery he made from that horrendous injury was quite amazing, but he's 100% correct - he always had the fans on his side.

Was pre-tainted by the Leeds rep, but brought a bit of
steel to Spurs pre-Robbo, and was actually a fairly
skillful player (Cloughie right yet again) .

In a previous life before emigrating to the East Midlands my wife used to work with Jean Berry, sister of Tony who sat on the board back in the day.

I used to get a few "corporate" days due to the connection and met Big Chiv and my other hero Pat J on many an occasion.

A truly lovely, genuine man and as one who's first memories of the game was that UEFA cup final at Wolves, I feel very sad he's passed.

Thanks for the memories big man!!

That match reminded me a lot of our game at Tamworth last season.
A rotated side lacking in fitness and confidence, struggling with a plastic pitch and complacency.
Johnson was one of our extra-time goalscorers. Had no impact this time.

You have to say, that's a fantastic finish, too. Can we sign Trubin, please? Play him up top.

Edit: Just realised that this puts Benfica in 24th, which means that they'll play 9th or 10th.
That's either Inter or... Real! <laugh>
