Is he injured. Quite young to quit?
He made a statement about his ongoing injury problems and the pain involved.
Had to have surgery on both his hips when he was 25 or his career would be over.
He was taking ever-increasing amounts of pain-killers and it was getting worse.

I hope that he can take things a little easier now and start to recover.
Sounds quite nightmarish, to be honest.

"Being in pain, playing and training through discomfort became normal. For 5 years now, I've been taking pills every game to be in better condition, starting with the lowest dose and recently taking the maximum dose to be able to play. I decided to put an end to this." - Erik Lamela

Big shame to hear that.

And a very sensible decision. There is a fine line between the highest possible dose and lifelong addiction.

Nuno is on the verge of getting sacked for speaking ill of Lard Ass Hogan

Get out of there, Nuno, you don't deserve to work for such a mάλακας
The bloke that claims he's on the way out also claims that he's being replaced by Postecoglou.
That would be... interesting.

While he hasn't said it outright, reading between the lines Nuno seems to be inferring that Lard Ass Hogan is ignoring the players Nuno says he wants and signing whoever he thinks is best

In other words, a Greek Todd Bollo

Kane with a 13 minute hat-trick against Leipzig. Currently 6-0 with 12 minutes to go.
That guarantees a few 0-0 draws will follow on the iPlayer

Like the time Channel 4 had that pornographic match where Sampdoria were 3-1 down to Inter in the 46th minute and won 4-3 in stoppage time, only to have some deathly dull match on the next week...though to be fair, they had to know that Vicenza guaranteed a bare minimum number of kickoffs
